Prologue

Barely covered by a river’s melody, which its singing water that run through the valley from the mountains and among rocks and moss, trapped by the forest exuberance, a young man’s voice was floating in the fog. It could barely be heard, sometimes was close, and sometimes so far, calling, asking, begging…

“Where? –He asked –Where is she? Is she alive? Is she here? Talk to me, I’m begging you!”

The wind through the branches… The river’s whisper… And the voice again.

“Is the legend true? You are the only one who knows it! Please, tell me!”

An owl’s hoot… A flapping… The water’s babbling among the soaked grass…

Silence.

Suddenly, he remembered a noise, a distant echo, a low and windy voice. An answer, maybe confusing and brief like smoke on a tornado…

“In a warm night like the day…” The voice got missed, and then, like a wave, it came back. “In a diverse order… find the six echo crystals… and solve the forest’s secret to save your world…”

More silence.

The sun appeared among the trees. The fog vanished.

It was daytime.

Adrian woke up when a sunray passed over his eyes. He looked at the alarm clock on his left. It was six o’clock, two hours before he had to wake up.

He got up and entered to his private bathroom. It was enormous, with a big sink with three taps and the precious bathtub. It was round, made with marble and carved with leaves; one of the leaves stood out the rest and it was use for support the head. The water came from a little cascade which was activated by a little tab next to the headrest.

Adrian got in the bathtub with the idea of a relaxing bath for that day. Also, he needed a moment to order his thoughts before he was surrounded by people who were preparing him for his eighteenth birthday, in two weeks. He was so tired of them and their smile more Adrian, it’s a great day Adrian, put your back straight Adrian you’re a prince not a commoner, don’t sulk Adrian…

Also, strange dreams were haunting him since last week. That night’s was the strangest of them all. Who was the person he had to look for? A woman, he guessed, but whom? His sister? His adoptive mother? Makency?

He sure was going to need help for those crazy days which were waiting for him. So I ask you, dear reader, would you like to help him?

So this is my first try to publish a story with a beta reader, enjoy!

Also, this is an interactive story, meaning that I need you chosing one of the options after you read the text and write it down in the comments. The most chosen option will lead us to the next chapter. No people chosing, no more story :(
